Have you ever wondered.. How some photographers just get great shots of kids?  Well I’m here to give you some tips and advice to help you get those great shots by yourself.

When MeaD’s Photography is hired to do photos of children I always tell the parents a few things to help prepare for the shoot. Things to give you better chances for me to capture the great shots of your kids you are looking for.

• Mood. We all know kids are very unpredictable there are days where they just don’t want to do what you want them to. If your child is just in one of those moods your not going to get what you want. So in that case  you just have to try another day sometimes. When dealing with MeaD’s Photography don’t worry about cancelations once you have put the deposit down your guaranteed to get your photos. We will work with you to find a better day that would work out for you.

• Tired. When children get tired they get tired and I mean they will just go to sleep in the middle of a shoot.  So a very important thing is make sure they get there nap in before your shoot. Bright eyes are a main factor in great baby and Children photos. They are more alert, active and, happy to look at birdie.

• Hungry. A hungry baby or child is not a happy one. Hungry babies are grumpy babies. Always make sure you feed them about a hour before the shoot. its usually a good time to kill two birds with one stone. Fill those bellies up and have a little nap. When they wake up they are ready for the camera.

• Cloths. Simple. Thats what you want to think about. Say way from crazy patterns or frilly clothes. It takes away from the star of the picture sometimes. You will achieve those classic timeless pictures with the plain cloths you baby/child looks good as they are. also think about the environment you are going to be in. If you are going to have them sit in the grass you don’t want them in all dark green. you want to put them in something that will stand out. plain cloths always turn out nice.
